BUY or SELL: which signals performed better this month
A trading signal points in one of two directions, BUY or SELL. Splitting the SignalsTrades record by direction over the period from 15 September to 16 October 2026 reveals a gap that is worth understanding before following any single call.
The split
Of the 866 signals that reached a result, 609 were SELL calls and 257 were BUY calls. The SELL calls won 38.6 percent of the time. The BUY calls won 28.4 percent. In this window, selling pressure was rewarded more often than buying pressure.
Why direction is tied to regime
A one-month result reflects the conditions of that month, not a permanent truth. During the period the broad US Dollar trend and risk sentiment favored short setups across several pairs, which lifted the SELL hit rate. In a different regime the balance can reverse. The 13-rule engine does not assume symmetry between the two directions; it scores each setup on its own evidence.
The lesson for a follower
Do not treat BUY and SELL as equally likely to work at all times. Market regime shifts, and a direction that led for a month can lag the next. The durable approach is to follow the score and the risk plan on each signal rather than a fixed bias toward buying or selling.
