XAU/USD signals: the real gold track record

Gold, quoted as XAU/USD, is the most watched market on SignalsTrades, and it is the pair most people ask about. This is the honest record for it, taken straight from the service signal log between 15 September and 16 October 2026. None of these numbers were rounded up for marketing.

The gold numbers

Over the period, 68 XAU/USD signals reached a final result. 35 of them closed as wins and 33 as losses. That is a win rate of 51 percent. The average winning signal gained about 298 pips. The average losing signal gave back about 182 pips. Because the winners ran larger than the losers, gold finished the period net positive.

Why the win rate is only half the story

A 51 percent win rate sounds ordinary on its own. The figure that matters more is the ratio between the average win and the average loss. On gold that ratio was close to 1.6 to 1. A system can be profitable with a win rate near 50 percent when the winning trades are larger than the losing ones. The size of the average win is what carried the pair, not the frequency of wins.

How the gold call is built

Every XAU/USD signal is scored by 13 independent rules before it is published. The rules most relevant to gold are the gold safe-haven correlation, the broad US Dollar trend, RSI, moving-average alignment across the 20, 50 and 200 periods, and proximity to round price levels. Each rule votes BUY or SELL, and the share that agree sets the confidence score. Across the period, gold signals carried an average confidence of 80 percent.

Read it with open eyes

Past results do not guarantee future ones, and a 51 percent win rate means roughly half of the calls still lost. The signal is one input. It works best with a stop-loss and a fixed position size on every trade.
